Why Thailand as a medical hub?
Thailand has one of the most advanced healthcare systems in the region. Every Thai government over the decades has invested in ensuring that doctors in the country receive education and training at par with that offered elsewhere in the region. Many Thai doctors have, in fact, undertaken specialized trainings from abroad, especially from the United States, and can be considered as, at least, equally qualified as the doctors in the West - if not more at times.

The country has invested hugely in equipment, and management standards are exceptionally high. A number of leading hospitals in Thailand are run by management groups that ensure that the standard of medical services available at these hospitals are nothing but the finest.
Finally, medical procedures available in Thailand are not merely limited to major surgeries or treatments. Thailand offers a wide range of options for cosmetic surgeries as well, besides cosmetic dentistry (for e.g. laser teeth whitening) and laser sight correction (LASIK). Also, sex reassignment surgery, is one of the most highly sought after medical procedure in Thailand.
