How does zone therapy work?

Zone therapy is based upon the principle that a complex signal system is located in the feet, which connects to the organs and cells in the body. When these signal points located in particular zones are stimulated, a message is sent up to the affected organs through an arc that goes via the spinal chord to the brain. Reflexologists use charts for the hands and feet that map the predefined pressure points. A patient would experience discomfort in the areas where an imbalance has occurred and which requires healing. During treatment, the affected organs are stimulated and the cell system is rejuvenated. Zone therapy follows a system of holistic treatment, treating the entire body and not just the symptoms. It encourages the natural healing abilities of the body by normalizing the different functions of the body, like blood circulation, digestion, lymph circulation, the functions of the nervous system and hormone production.
